Peter Morgan

Mr. Peter Morgan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has extensive accounting and auditing experience in both private and public sectors. He is Head of Accounting Development at the UK’s National Audit Office where he provides accountancy advice, and has advised on the appropriate accounting treatment for some 150 or so PPP projects. He was recently a member of a working group tasked with advising the UK’s Financial Reporting Advisory Board to the Treasury on the future development of accounting for PPP projects. The National Audit Office is responsible for the external audit of central government departments, their executive agencies and other sponsored public bodies. Its remit covers both financial accounts and value-for-money studies. It will also be responsible for the audit of ‘Whole of Government Accounts’, encompassing all of the UK’s public sector, to be prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards from 2008/09.
